My perfect park has a lot of things for my kiddos, but if I’m being perfectly honest, in my wildest dreams my ideal park would have coffee. Maybe it’s just me, but on those days when I need that bit of caffeine I often find I don’t have the time for it, but if I could just grab it at the park that would be amazing. Well friends I am here to tell you that while Chevy Chase park doesn’t exactly have a coffee shop in the middle of it, it sure has a cute coffee trailer (happier camper) across the street. So load up the kiddos in the stroller or park near the coffee trailer and grab a cup and head over to the park.

Aside from having a gate that goes around the majority of the park (Yay for gated or semi gated parks) it has a play structure that is right next to a skate park.

When I’ve taken my kiddos to play at this park, half of the appeal is the play structure and the other half is staring at the people skating with wide-eyed admiration. I wish I had been able to photograph that space, but it was so in use and I didn’t feel comfortable photographing people without their permission. Trust me if you go to this park and play at the structure you will see the skate area because it is just out of frame in the photograph below to the right.
