October is fire prevention month. As part of this month, the Glendale libraries and Glendale Fire Department have teamed up to have fire fighters come and read books during story time. After the stories, they have their truck outside for children to get to see close up and pose for pictures. I took my youngest last week and he was delighted by the truck, but not so excited about the person they have dressed up as a Dalmatian handing out free fire helmets. So if you can make it, head over to the library this Friday and spend some time with GFD this Friday October 18th from 4:00pm-5:00pm at the Grandview Library.
