10am – 5pm: Brick Fest a Lego fan Experience

Enjoy the Brick Fest Speedway – watch your custom built lego derby car zoom along tracks, add to life sized LEGO builds, and of course shop for vintage and rare legos.
10am – Noon: Seed Lab at Eaton Canyon Nature Center

Hands on workshop that teaches kids about native plant seeds. Students will be introduced to basic seed physiology, engage in a mini field excursion to collect, clean seed for planting using the processing tools of the trade, and take home their processed seed and field kits for at-home continued exploration and learning!
1pm – 3pm: Audubon society nature arts and crafts
Montecito Heights
Make nature related arts and crafts in the society’s courtyard.
5:30pm – 10pm: Street food cinema presents Beauty and the Beast

At Brand library park, family friendly, dog friendly, enjoy outdoor movies while you still can. Doors open at 5:30 movie starts at 8:30.
Sunday August 25th
10am – Noon: Barnsdall Art Park Family days
Silver Lake
Workshops taught by a highly qualified artist-educators who work for Barnsdall Arts / FOJAC. Each workshop uses different media including: painting, textile art, printmaking, clay, sculpture, collage, and 3D constructions.
Noon – 4pm: Summer SoirrĂ©e
Pasadena (Tickets required)
This event features Kids’ crafts, open play, cookie decorating, hair bar, play mats, sensory pool, and treats like cotton candy, acai bowls, and donuts.
3pm – 3:30pm: Drag Queen Story time at Skylight books
Los Feliz
Sadie Pines will read Mary Wears What She Wants, by Keith Negley, and lead the kiddos in some fun activities. The event is free and open to the public. Any donations will go towards the Center for Transyouth Health and Development at Children’s Hospital.
5pm – 6pm: Shakes-Queer at Family Night
Griffith Park Old Zoo
Learn to give a Shakespearean speech with a drag queen. Craft tables available for prop making.
